Stuart Alan Miller

Stuart Alan Miller, 79, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Baptist Health.

Stuart was a retired employee of Greyhound Bus, a farmer, an Army veteran, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  He enjoyed cooking, but his greatest joy came from time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Terry Miller; and his parents, John and Alice Walls.

Stuart is survived by one daughter, Candy May (Russell); two sons, Terry (Elizabeth) and Mike (Shannah) Miller; three brothers, Larry Miller, Ernest Walls, and Freddie Walls; three sisters, Patricia Clay, Sue Smith, and Gail Walker; four grandchildren, Shelby Davis, Samantha May, Weylin and Sylvia Miller; along with one great grandson, Gavin May.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
