Sue Elizabeth Wells, 97, of Cox's Creek, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was a former homemaker and farmer, a member of Riverview Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer for 50 plus years, and in more recent years, a TV personality for Kaufman and Stigger, PLLC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Lona McGill; her loving husband of 37 years, James A. Wells, Sr.; a daughter, Jo Mann; a sister, Mary Dot Dennis; along with a son in law, Ronnie Kelien. She is survived by a son, James A. "Allen" Wells, Jr. (Kathy); three daughters, Betsy Kelien, Jana Lyons (Jim), and Cara Stigger (Bruce); a son-in-law, Garry Mann; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; along with a host of cherished nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit 2-7 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Crusade for Children, Twisted Pink, or Riverview Baptist Church.
