Teresa Kay Smith, born on February 3, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024. She was 66 years old. Teresa led her life with a love and intensity not possessed by many. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. She is survived by her loving husband, Philip Smith and her children: Jackie (Kirk), Dylan (Ashley), Quincy (Brooke), Eli, Michael (Missy), and Sara (Mark), and twelve grandchildren. Teresa’s compassion, faith, warmth, and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Teresa grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, graduating from Valley High School. Her life was an example of finding joy in every single experience. She served her country in the US Army and worked at the UPS brokerage house amongst other jobs and experiences. She was a firm believer in the power of faith and community, always supporting those around her with open arms and an open heart. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Teresa’s life was a testament to the importance of resilience and unconditional love. There will be a private celebration of life held at a later time.
