Thomas Willis Reed “Tom” Forshee, passed away February 12, 2026, at the age of 66 at his
home. He was born on May 26, 1959 in Louisville to the late John E. and Hazel Arline (Ritchey)
Forshee.
Tom’s career began at Phillip Morris, where he dedicated 20 years before becoming a valued
member of the Ford assembly line for 24 years. He was a proud member of St. Peter the
Apostle Catholic Church, finding comfort and community within its walls.
Tom was a sports enthusiast, proudly cheering for the University of Kentucky, the Dallas
Cowboys, and the Baltimore Orioles. Beyond sports, he embraced nature as an avid bird
watcher and had a deep love for history.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Holly Barksdale; 2
brothers John Forshee, Mark Forshee and sister Libby Morgan.
He is survived by his wife, Robyn Forshee; his son, Tommy Forshee; 2 step-daughters Jill Proctor
(Mark), Leah Tomblinson; step-son Alex Tomblinson (Abigail) and sister, Barbara (Forshee)
Hoerter. Tom was a proud grandfather to Savannah Forshee, Riley Simpson, Maddie Simpson,
Alyssa Simpson, Anderson Proctor, Mabel Proctor, Stella Johnston, and Maverick Johnston, who
brought him immense joy and laughter throughout his life.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday February 18, 2026 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral
Home in Mt. Washington, Kentucky with Deacon Dean Giulitto officiating. Visitation will be held
from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial
Park.
