Virginia "Ginny" Elaine Holcombe

Virginia Elaine Holcombe, 73, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2024.  She was born on April 10, 1951 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Burris and Margaret Holcombe, but grew up in Lexington, KY.  She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a retired secretary at Porter Memorial Baptist Church, a member of Guide Stone, and First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.  She enjoyed women's Bible study.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Holcombe.  Ginny is survived by one daughter, Tanya Hogue (Roger); two sons, Hal (Carie) and Tim Lloyd; one sister, Pat Stacy; along with seven grandchildren, Haley (Mike), Trey, Matthew, Sam, Lilly, Wayne, and Jena; three great grandchildren, Mark, Melody, and Mathias.  Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
