Vivian Edith (Collins) Adams

Vivian Edith “Miss Viv” Adams, 87, of Mt. Washington, returned to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  She was the former Vivian Collins, retired insurance agent, former president of the Mt. Washington Chapter of AARP, and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.  In addition to loving her family, she had a great love of the Lord, and sharing this love with others.  She was an accomplished pianist.  She starting sharing her gift by playing for the Billy Graham Crusade with George Beverly Shea,  was a rehearsal pianist for the Gaither Family, and accompanied many others throughout her life.  She was a motivational speaker, former religious educator with the state of Indiana, and taught many students of all ages to play the piano.   She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbur Richard Way Jr. and Thomas W. Adams; a son-in-law, David E. Seffens; and two brothers, Wendell and Leonard “Jack” Collins.  Vivian is survived by two daughters, Brenda L. Seffens and Linda J. Wright (Sean); one son, Richard “Rick” Way (Lisa); sons of her late husband, Thomas “Jeff” Adams and Paul E. Adams; along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.  A Celebration of Life will be held 5 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Mt. Washington.  Friends may visit from 1 until time of service at 5 p.m.   Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington Performing Arts.
