Wanda Sue (Hodge) Giltner

Wanda Sue Giltner, 70, of Mt. Washington, passed away December 23, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was a retired employee of Kroger and a member of Independent Baptist Church, Shepherdsville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Wayne" Giltner; a daughter, Jackie Sue Showalter; along with her siblings, Louise Elder, Jessie Hodge, Jr., and Tommy Hodge.  She is survived by her two sons, Johnny Lee (Lisa) and Jessie Darrell (Kristi) Carrier; a brother, Leon Hodge; a sister, Tammy Thacker; along with 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Dylan, Jonathon, Matthew, Joshua, and Hannah Carrier, and Cheyenne and Cody Homuth; 6 great-grandchildren, Jason, Isaiah, Daniel, Jonah, and Natalie Carrier, and Liam Homuth.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
