Wanda Mae Hill, 84, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Sanders Ridge Health Campus. Wanda was born on August 14, 1940 in Nelson County, KY to the late Clyde and Clara Brown. She was a retired employee of Interlake. She enjoyed reading her Bible and taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bennie Hill; and a son, Brian Hill; a grandson, Chad Taylor; and son-in-law, Charles Thompson. Wanda is survived by five children, Shelia Thompson, Charlene Collard (Lee), Cherie Bleemel (Doug), David Hill and Phyllis Cornett (Bobby); two brothers, Phillip (Betty) and Clyde Jr. (Barbara) Brown; a sister, Kathy Riggs (Gary); along with four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 12 p.m. until 7 on Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
