Wayne D. Sellings, 72, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at his home he built, surrounded by his loving family on September 13, 2025. He was the former owner of Wayne Sellings Framing Contractor, Inc. Aside from being a successful businessman, building over 50 homes in the area and framing well over 1000, his true legacy is his family. In his later years, “working”, was running the crane truck with his “best son”. Wayne was born and raised in Sale Victoria, Australia, but he chose to immigrate to the United States after meeting his lovely wife “Tina-Beanie” in Tybee Island, Georgia. He truly lived for his family, and in his words, “Sunday was family day”. He was a member of the Home Builders Association (BIA Louisville) and Highview Baptist Church. He loved fishing and doing anything and everything with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Trevor and Leonie Sellings; along with his wife’s parents, Alvin and Agnes Demps. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Sellings; a son, Ethon Sellings (Brittany); his two grandchildren, Sutton Chase and Emmie Kate Sellings; a daughter, Victoria Sellings; three brothers, Lenard Sellings, Paul Schofield, and Peter Schofield; along with a sister, Heather Sellings Baird. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making all contributions to the Mount Washington Lions Club, to aid the visually impaired in honor of his grandson, Sutton Chase Sellings.
