William B. Heady, 83, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Springfield, KY. Bill was born on April 11, 1941 in Spencer County, KY to the late Frank and Mary Etta Heady. He was a retired employee of Seven County Services and attended Eastern Gate Baptist Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and collected Dale Earnhardt memorabilia. He also enjoyed collecting old coins, the outdoors, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Heady; and two brothers, Tom Heady and John Heady. Bill is survived by one daughter, Angie Clough (Martie); a son, Troy Heady; two brothers, Bob Heady and Dan Heady; one granddaughter, Ashley Kenney (Eric); two great grandchildren, Aiden and Jevon; along with a host of nieces, nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until time of service on Sunday. Memorial gifts in Bill’s memory are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
