William Thixton Obituary

William Thomas Thixton, 84, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Norton Women and Children’s Hospital. He was a native of Fairmount, KY, a retired employee of General Electric Co., and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Russell Thixton; and siblings, Charles, JoAnne, Donnie, and Lynn. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Judy Thixton; one son, Murrell Thomas Thixton (Robin); three siblings, Truman Thixton, Frances Alford, and Darlene Strauss; along with two grandchildren, Liane Thixton and Claire Sewczyk (Thomas). Upon his wishes, cremation was chosen. McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, was entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Mt. Washington, KY
